Event description

The Seagullmachine: a comedy in four acts DRAFT #1 is a multidisciplinary dance theatre piece that combines Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull and Heiner Müller’s Hamletmachine into an invitation for both artists and audiences to interrogate and reshape the artistic and political ‘machines’ that govern our lives through the very form in which it is shared. In addition to the performance, we will curate a selection of resources and events centering mutual aid and local organizing that will be made available to the audience before and after the shows, as well as virtually.

We are offering three ticket tiers for The Seagullmachine. We encourage you to pick the price that’s right for you!

Community Tickets: $10

Because one of The Invitation Arts Collective’s core pillars is access, we’re offering $10 tickets to audience members who would not otherwise be able to attend these performances. Our Community Tickets are directly subsidized by our supporters! If you’re able, please pay it forward by selecting a Standard or True Cost ticket. If this price still presents a barrier to access, please email us at theinvitationartscollective@gmail.com.

Standard Tickets: $25

True Cost Tickets: $50

The price point of this tier reflects the true cost of this production. We calculated the cost of our True Cost Tickets by dividing our total budget by the total number of seats available for this show’s run.

Thank you to Ars Nova, HERE Arts Center, and WP Theater for inspiring this language.
