Relocating to Melbourne marked a turning point in Fields’ career, establishing her as a beloved figure in the local music scene. Her 2021 LP, Water, chronicles her journey—crossing oceans, falling in love, and finding herself along the way. Decorated with awards in both New Zealand and Australia, Water earned Music Victoria’s Best Folk Work in 2022 and the NZ Country Music Songwriting Award for her poignant track Mamma.
