The Secrets To More Sustainable Buildings
Event description
The buildings and construction sector is by far the largest emitter of greenhouse gases, accounting for almost 40% of global emissions!! The production and use of materials such as cement, steel, and aluminium have a significant carbon footprint. To address this massive emissions total, we need to construct more buildings with sustainability at the core of the design principles.
And what about all the existing buildings? These require sustainable retrofits to ensure they are suitable for an environmentally friendly future. To discuss all this and more, we have assembled a panel that specialises in the zero-carbon buildings sector:
Megan Fisher - CEO & Director at EnergyLab (Moderator)
Sam Ringwaldt - CEO & Co-Founder at Conry Tech
Libby Phillips - Zero Carbon City Manager at the City of Melbourne
Adam Jones - CEO & Founder at CLT Toolbox
Agenda for the evening:
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Light snacks and networking
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Panel discussion
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Further networking over drinks
We look forward to seeing you on the night :)
