By 2025 cybercrime will cost the world $10.5 Trillion annually. The increase in threats, sophistication of attacks, and the consequences – financial, reputational, regulatory – now has cyber on the attention of governments, CEOs, Managing Directors and Boards. But the risks keep growing and the technical jargon is confusing.
Join us on July 12 to hear from Anna Leibel and Claire Pales, authors of The Secure Board: How To Be Confident That Your Organisation Is Cyber Safe, about the critical elements of understanding cyber security risk.
At the conclusion of this event you will understand:
1. How and why the cyber landscape keeps evolving;
2. Why you must plan on being attacked; and
3. The top 2 hidden risks to address when it comes to being cyber safe.
You will leave the event with practical advice, be able to ask better questions and understand the consequences of cyber risk decisions.
The Secure Board
The Secure Board book, co-authored by Claire Pales and Anna Leibel, was written for Board Directors to gain confidence in governing cyber security. The Secure Board Advisory, launched at the start of 2021, specialises in cyber security advisory services to Boards and Executives. Advising clients across the public and private sector, ASX100, family boards, regulators and not-for-profit, with services including Board briefings, ongoing educational series and interactive workshops to develop literacy, and gain confidence and alignment of cyber strategy and risk management. Each interaction is customised for your organisation and created to achieve clear outcomes. Anna and Claire are known for performing the executive and board roles instrumental in managing cyber risk and managing the associated complexities – from Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Non-Executive Director (NED) - with over four decades of commercial industry and consulting experience. The Secure Board Advisory exists to educate on cyber security without the jargon, to support Directors to understand the expectations of the Board in relation to cyber and to uplift Director confidence in important decision making.
