The Sex Ed You Didn't Get Series; Trans & Gender Diverse Sex Ed

Ever feel like your sex education missed… well, everything? You’re not alone. Most of us never learned about the expansive nature of gender, bodies, and pleasure. This workshop is by us, for us.

Meet your facilitator:

Tara (they/them) is a queer, non-binary, AuDHD Accredited Social Worker & Sex Therapist based in Meanjin, Brisbane. Tara runs Living Authentically Counselling - an LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming private practice that provides therapeutic supports to folks aged 16+ both in person and online.

This workshop will be held in person, at a private location in Windsor, Brisbane. Ticket holders will be messaged on purchase of their tickets with the address details. Please note that this venue is wheelchair accessible, is accessible by public transport and will have free parking available.

In this workshop, we'll cover:

• Identities Beyond the Binary: A deeper dive into gender identity and expression.

• Transition & Our Bodies: How socially and medically transitioning can impact our sexuality, desire and libidos.

• Pleasure on Our Terms: Practical tips to minimise dysphoria for self-pleasure and partnered sex that actually work for our bodies (and that are peer reviewed by community!)

• Affirming Sex Toys: A rundown of gender-neutral and affirming sex toys and aids.

• Consent & Safer Sex: How to navigate consent and safer sex in queer and trans relationships - including exploring accommodations for different communication styles.
