Network & Connect: The sharing economy and your business
Event description
Join us and our panel of experts to explore what the sharing economy means for you and your business.
The sharing economy promotes access over ownership. It is reshaping the way we consume and do business. It has the potential to reduce waste and conserve resources. It can also help foster community connections and generate new income streams.
Panelists include:
Ben Redwood | Mutu | CEO
Ben has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in the global tech sector for more than a decade, focusing on disrupting traditional industries. He developed Mutu, a resource-sharing app to combat waste by enabling businesses to list and reuse surplus materials, particularly in the construction sector.
Saveun Man | Carpoolin | Creator and Founder
Saveun has been in game and software development for the past 17 years. Currently, he is focused on developing Carpoolin, a community-driven rideshare app, and is looking to connect with anyone interested. Carpoolin is in its early days, but Saveun hopes it will become a popular transport option.
Kate Jamieson | Little Big Shed | Marketing Consultant
Kate is a marketing consultant with Good Sense that represents Little Big Shed. The online equipment sharing platform lets you list your stuff for others to borrow or rent. Safe transactions, reviews, and insurance make buying less and connecting with neighbours easy. Less stuff cuts waste and climate harm.
Andy Kenworthy | Sustainable Business Network | Senior Advisor
Andy has more than 20 years’ experience in communications, fundraising and strategy. His recent interests include complexity, behaviour change, eco-pyschology and activism.
Following the panel discussion, hear the latest updates from SBN and shout out about what’s been happening in your organisation. This will be a great opportunity to meet other organisations in the network and form new connections.
Plus, bottomless coffee thanks to Altezano Brothers coffee.
