The Shindig's 3rd Birthday Friday October 23rd - Canvas Club Wooloongabba

Shindigs Australia turns three officially and four unofficially this year, and we're marking it properly.

Everyone loved the last party and the venue so much that we decided to go back to the amazing Tailors at the Canvas Club to celebrate.

Flying in from the UK are two very special guests, and not new to The Shindig: Darren Giles and the NIck Mears - Da Funk Junkies, who are bringing their sound halfway around the world to help us blow out the candles.

So expect big grooves, big Shindig energy, and a dancefloor that doesn't stop.

Holding it down alongside them are support DJs

Three official years and one cheeky unofficial one have given us plenty to celebrate: The mates we've made, the nights we barely remember, and the community that keeps turning up and making every Shindig better than the last. The calendar might say we're three, but the party says we're four, and we're not about to argue with the party.

So gather your crew, get ready to dance, and come help us celebrate in true Shindig style, with the best house music,

The Shindig up for it crowd and a whole lot of birthday chaos.

Da Funk Junkies (Nick Mears) (UK)
Have built an impressive catalogue of tracks, with their latest — That Old Skool — out now.
A rare breed of Jackin' House masters, they've spent years blowing up globally, scoring multiple Number 1s and Top 10s on the Traxsource Top 100 Live Chart, and landing at #236 on the Top 500 Traxsource Artist Chart in 2024. Now flying high in 2026 with more Top 10 heaters — Including I'm Gonna Do, Crazy Love, More Power Too, Feeling, and Hooked By You — Backed by A-list support from Mark Knight, Shapeshifters, Roger Sanchez, Black Legend and more across the European summer in Ibiza.

Hailing from Portsmouth, UK, brothers Nick and Darren Mears formed the duo in 2007 after careers in club land, and have been serving up funky, disco-infused house bombs ever since — thumping basslines, driving guitars, infectious grooves.
With music out on Groove Culture, Spacedisco Records, MoodFunk Records, their own imprint DFJ Recordings, and many more, Da Funk Junkies live and breathe driving percussion and chunky, juddering bass.Groove-led Jackin' & Disco House.
