Event description

‘The Slip: What Good Looks Like’ originally commissioned and made possible by the Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety (MARS) Program for Safe Work Month 2024, will return for 2 'Open Days' , tickets available now!

With the initial development and production costs already funded by the MARS Program in 2024, we are pleased to be able to offer subsidised options to you and your organisations. ACT Australia Pty Ltd has invested in a pre-production schedule including rehearsals in April. Attendees will then only pay to attend the workshops.

On the 30th April a story of what good looks like will be told, based on the incredible story of the Bingham Canyon Mine pit slip.

The unprecedented findings from our research prior and post the first Perth and regional tour:

  • 97% of all participants found The SLIP relevant to their workplace
  • 99.3% of all participants believe they can apply lessons from The SLIP to their workplace.
  • 99.5% of all participants found value in learning about safety culture and leadership through live theatre storytelling.

Known as the largest geotechnical event in mining history, it will be brought to life in a stage play, presented by ACT Australia's professional actors and facilitators. In amazing news we have confirmed the original cast!

ACT Australia creates immersive, dynamic and engaging storytelling through live action, sound effects and visuals; in order to make learning about safety memorable and empowering.

Our Open Day on the 30th April will be taking online and in-person donations to Mates in Mining. This ticket portal contains an optional additional payment to Mates in Mining which can be done by selecting and then electing your preferred amount for the donation. However, if you would like to donate by cash or card in person on the day, that is also accepted and appreciated.

After the 2 Open Days on the 29th and 30th April the season will continue on May 1st + 2nd and 19th-23rd for company in-house bookings. (Metro + Regional)
