    Saturday 4/8 details:

Join us for a day of story, song and ritual with Michael Meade as we work with the soil created from composted human remains in our efforts to restore the forests and create new life at Bells Mountain.

We will take a devotional, prayerful approach to the practice of hands-on, regenerative land-tending. Saturday will include land restoration discussion and implementation. Please be prepared to work directly with the soil by lifting, hauling and carrying it to places most in need of amendments.

“Myth and nature are the two great garments of the world, with nature being the living green garment that covers the planet and myth being the multidimensional, many-colored fabric that continually weaves human culture.” ― Michael Meade, The Genius Myth

    Sunday 4/9 details:

A day of working with the NOR (“Natural Organic Reduction” soil made from human body compost) by tree planting, seeding, moving soil, digging holes, and learning about land restoration. Enjoy a day of working outside in community to facilitate the recovery of the land and their inhabitants.

To touch the soil is to touch the soul of both life and death and the age-old process of regeneration and renewal. Healing the Earth becomes a reciprocal process: as the land heals, so can we. Together, we can create the “garments of the world.”
This event is for anyone who cares deeply for the land and all its dependents, for those who dream of more resiliency, for death doulas and lifelong learners, and for anyone who is curious about alternate endings of new stories for the times we’re in, and the times to come.

Please bring: a water bottle, snacks, gloves, shoes that work in mud, and any mobility support you may need.

Accessibility + Infection Precautions: Trails and grounds are uneven with unpaved roads. Composting toilets and hand washing facilities are available. We will be outdoors with plenty of room to spread out, but anyone who wishes to mask for infection safety is welcome to do so.

Cell reception is limited, signage will be up but plan on off-line mapping to the site.

    Carpooling is strongly encouraged!

No one turned away for lack of funds. Please get in touch if suggested donation amount precludes participation.
