The Bendigo Bushwalking and Outdoor Club invites you to join them on the The Spring Gully Loop. Much more than just the one tree on the One Tree Hill! Grade 2 (Easy/Medium)This walk is part of the Try Bushwalking Month, celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Bushwalking Victoria, the peak body representing 60+ bushwalking clubs across Victoria.

One Tree Hill is a part of the Greater Bendigo National Park and features many interesting tracks and rock outcrops and fauna.

DISTANCE:  A loop walk of approximately 7km

WHO IS THIS WALK FOR? Certainly NOT super hard...The Spring Gully walk is among our easier walks lasting between 1.5 to 2 hours and great for stretching the legs and a bit of chat while doing so!

CHILDREN AND PETS:  This walk is for adults 18 years and over, and due to the nature of the walk, we ask you to leave dogs and other pets at home.  Please contact the club directly to inquire about service animals, and any family or pet friendly walks.  

AWT GRADE 2 (Easy/Medium): Suitable for most ages and fitness levels.  AWT Grade information. 

PACE: Our club walks cater for walkers of different fitness levels and walking pace. The Bendigo Walking Club always assigns an experienced club member to be the last walker in the group to assist any slower walkers who are unable to achieve the moderate 3.5km per hour walk rate.

TOTAL ASCENT: Looking at around a 100m to reach our highest point.

WALK DESCRIPTION: The walk is along well defined tracks and bush trails.

CARPOOLING/PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Please ring or text the leader, Gayle. 0419 332 659 if you need guidance or assistance with transport.

TOILETS: Toilets are adjacent to the Spring Gully Hall car park.

WHAT TO BRING

Mandatory:

  • Emergency contact form with medical info (from welcome pack)
  • 1.5L water
  • Backpack
  • Rain jacket
  • Hiking shoes/boots
  • Personal first aid kit (your health is your responsibility)
  • Sun hat/sunscreen

Recommended:

  • Lunch 
  • Hiking poles
  • Bug spray

ABOUT OUR CLUB: Walking with others is essentially a social experience while participating in exercise. The Bendigo Bushwalking and Outdoor Club is a small friendly club where new members are welcome. We conduct weekly walks and always try to end our walks at a coffee shop.
