ABOUT THE STEMPRENEURS OF CAIRNS

The STEMpreneurs of Cairns is an interactive three-day program that will empower participants to develop practical, STEM-based business ideas using technology and robotics.

During The STEMpreneurs of Cairns program, students will learn about the world of STEM, entreprenurship and innovation. Through hands-on learning, innovation and entrepreneurship, students will tackle real-world challenges and come up with their very own innovative STEM business solutions. Students will showcase their ideas through a showcase afternoon.

The program is designed for secondary school students (Grade 7 to 12).

  • Ideation. What are some local and global problems? How can we use technology and innovation to solve them?
  • Marketing and Design. Developing logos, posters and marketing collateral for their product or service.
  • Business Development. Writing a Business Pitch, business budgeting and financial literacy.
