About the Venue - Bucketty's Brewing Co, Brookvale

There is so much to learn about Bucketty's and its humble beginnings.  It's a family owned business with much blood, sweat and tears making it what it is today.

I can't think of a better place for Story Room Aus to call home, after-all beer and stories are like peas in a pod, they just fit perfectly.

The Food

Check out the menu. You certainly won't starve to death while you listen to some great stories. We are however trying to learn how many people might buy meals, as Nick the owner will open the food truck especially for us.

Vicki Haines

Vicki Haines has recently ridden solo around the globe on her motorcycle, covering over 35,000 km across 30 countries and four continents, from Singapore through Southeast Asia, China, Central Asia, the Middle East, and into Europe. This daring journey is part of her mission to raise funds for the Yaccaba Centre in Port Stephens, a local community organization supporting people in need. However, this is not Vicki’s only adventure — her career in the TV broadcast industry spans over 30 years, taking her from Australia to the USA and Europe, working on iconic global events like the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. With a background that started at the Nine Network, Vicki’s career has seen her excel in a wide range of technical and strategic roles, including Operations Manager for Fox Sports, News Editor for Channels 9 and 10, and Field Producer for Australian Idol. She managed major studio productions for events such as the US Open Tennis and Golf in Los Angeles, showcasing her passion for sports and her knack for keeping live events running smoothly. While riding through deserts, mountains, and bustling cities, Vicki’s journey has been filled with powerful moments — surviving a horrific accident in Laos, navigating through war zones between Russia and Iran, and finally arriving in the UK with a sense of achievement and purpose. Her story of resilience, courage, and transformation is a testament to her unstoppable spirit.
