As young girls many of us were raised to be seen and not heard, to be the good girl who does as she is told without speaking back. The flow-on effect can be a lifetime of repressed thoughts, feelings, and emotions as women fear saying the wrong thing, being judged, or making a fool of themselves every time they speak up.
