Event description

An agroforestry organism is a reflection of its human creator, enlivened by the Natural World.
Only YOU can make it, harmoniously Yours!!!

Masterclass Objectives

  • To provide an in-depth account of Syntropic Agroforestry’s philosophy, theory and practice. An account that is loyal to its philosophy, methods and practices as given by Ernst Gotsch, and is illustrated by my experiences and stories gathered by almost 10 years of full-time syntropic practice.
  • To complement this account with other regenerative farming frameworks/methods that strengthen the comprehension and practice of Agroforestry management.
  • To support students individually and collectively to absorb and understand the complexities involved and how they manifest in the student’s context.
  • To facilitate a process where students create a realistic agroforestry project that best serve their unique context (from balcony, to subsistence to commercial scales), while being confident that it can be managed for as long as it last (could be forever).

Participant’s Outcomes

  • Practical skills in designing, implementing and managing climate-appropriate Agroforestry systems.
  • Exposition to numerous agroforestry systems from different climates and scales.
  • Understanding the laws and patterns of nature and how these can be used to produce food regeneratively and with minimal external inputs.
  • In-depth knowledge of the philosophical context and its application in decision-making.
  • Being part of a global community of practicing agroforesters.
  • Feeling enthusiastic, engaged and supported.
