The Trail Forge: Harvest Fest 002
Description
Harvest Fest is a gathering created to celebrate community, creativity, food, land, and the people who continue to cultivate all of them. On October 17th, we will come together at West Friendship Park for a day centered around connection, learning, nourishment, and collective celebration.
This year, Harvest Fest is opening the doors to the farming community and creating an opportunity for people to experience where their food comes from. Farmers Jarmonay and Evrgreene are opening up their space and welcoming us into their farming process. Throughout the gathering, they will share their knowledge, practices, and experiences with growing food, caring for the land, and building relationships with the earth. This is an opportunity to get closer to the process behind the food that nourishes us and to better understand the work, intention, and care that goes into farming.
Food will be a major part of our gathering. We will share fresh meals prepared with ingredients from local farms, bringing people together around the table to eat, exchange stories, and enjoy the abundance that has been cultivated within our community.
