    The forum will be hosted in rooms  IC1.07 and IC1.15 in the Innovation Complex, number 11 on the campus map, see here. Parking is free and participants can park anywhere labelled as SP on the map.

    We're excited to announce our cross-sector Spring forum hosted by Massey University on November 15th, Albany Campus. The forum's workshops will explore the transition experiences of international learners including from provider A to provider B. For example, from school to tertiary or pathways to tertiary. If you're interested in strengthening the success of your international learners' transition experience, don't miss this event.


    Speakers include: 

    Student success innovations to support transition 

    Tere McGonagle-Daly Deputy Vice-Chancellor Students & Global Engagement, Massey University

    In this workshop, Tere will introduce some innovations Massey has pioneered to support international learners' transitions into tertiary study. His presentation will offer a springboard for discussing options that enhance learners' transitions and stimulating reflection on your own professional contexts.


    Responding to the toughest transition challenges for international learners 

    Chris Beard, CEO, ISANA NZ

    In this workshop, Chris will introduce a range of transition challenges that international learners experience. Drawing on 25+ years of experience, cross-sector collaboration and interdisciplinary insights, he will introduce successful strategies that have aided learners' transitions and invite discussion that identifies other examples of good practice.

    The art of transition: An expert panel discusses closer collaboration 

    Including Kim Wall, LENZ High School Director, and Jayne Jones, Deputy Principal for International, Long Bay College, Ying Rong, Student Care Team Leader Massey, Rachel Hu, student panelist

    In this session, panelists will bring different perspectives on the international learner transition that examines how the demand-side and the supply-sides can interlink more closely. In particular, their discussion will offer an opportunity to critique the learner transitions from different phases of the learner journey. There will be opportunities for workshop participants to discuss the questions the panellists raise.
