The Unspoken Conference 2022 by One Roof
Event description
The UNSPOKEN Conference is back by popular demand; a week-long virtual conference for women.
This virtual conference exists to bring to the stage conversations that affect ambitious women in business that we desperately need to talk more about. We are covering the important, hard and impactful conversations that need to be front and centre.
The world is facing unprecedented issues from worldwide pandemics, major issues in the workplace, increased homelessness, the climate crisis and a gender gap in business and entrepreneurship that seems to only be getting worse rather than better. If we do not increase the quality and diversity of our leaders and support more women into successful, powerful and influential positions, we are likely heading for a global disaster.
We have handpicked our guest speakers because we know they are passionate about these topics and are willing to share in a vulnerable, raw and open way.
Join us for an entire week of online panel events. We will be hosting a different panel of guest speakers every day throughout the week.
You only need to purchase one ticket to gain access to all the events.
**All One Roof members attend for free.
The Conference Agenda:
Building Taboo Businesses. Monday 16 May, 2.30pm - 3.10pm
These women are working in new, innovative and taboo industries. It’s hard enough being a woman in business let alone a trailblazer building taboo businesses. From Medicinal Cannabis to ethics in AI, from Sex Positivity to Psychedelics they will share the barriers and backlash they have faced, how they have persisted and why they are so excited about the industries they each work in.

Business Mum BS. Tuesday 17 May, 12pm - 1:15pm
How are mums still battling so many UNSPOKEN barriers and issues when it comes to balancing the intersection of business and motherhood in this day and age?! We still don’t talk enough about what goes on “behind the scenes,” including the sacrifices women still make, dealing with fertility issues, pregnancy loss, post natal depression, the mental load, the guilt and more and the UNSPOKEN expectations we place on mums and. not dads. We need to uncover the BS business mums still deal with and then hear from them what they need in order to thrive as women, business owners and mums.

From chronic illness to discrimination and thinking ‘there must be something wrong with me’ these boss babes will get truly UNSPOKEN in their journey as women, founders and leaders. In addition, we will discuss the power of words and whether such terms as 'Boss Babe' serve to empower or alienate women in business.
