FAQs

• Who is Mini Mess Makers for?

  Mini Mess Makers is designed for babies 0-12 months of age.

• Do I stay with my child during the session?

  Yes! Mini Mess Makers is a parent/carer attended play experience, not childcare. Children must be supervised at all times during the entire session.

• What happens during the session?

  Each session provides a variety of messy/sensory play spaces for children to explore, discover and engage with.

  Each week brings a new theme.

• What should I bring?

  We recommend bringing the following:

  • A drink and anything your child needs during the session

  • A change of clothes - sensory play can get messy!

  • Any required medications, including emergency medication

  • A small towel or wet wipes if your little one likes to get messy

• What if my child has allergies?

  Please let us know about all allergies, medical conditions or additional needs when booking.

  Our sensory activities will be taste safe where appropriate and we will not intentionally use eggs and nuts. However, other allergens may be used, so please make sure we have your child's allergy information.

• What if my child is unwell?

  Please do not attend if you or your child is unwell or experiencing symptoms of contagious illness including fever, vomiting, diarrhoea or significant respiratory symptoms.

  If you need to cancel please refer to our cancellation policy.

• Can I get a refund if I can't attend?

  Tickets are non-refundable for change of mind or non-attendance.

  However, if you give us at least 2 hours notice, you're welcome to move your booking to another available Mini Mess Makers session within the same term, subject to availability.

  Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the session are not eligible for a make up session.

• What happens if a session is cancelled by organiser?

  In the event of a session being cancelled by The Village Play Club, families will be offered a replacement session, credit or refund.

• Can I bring another child?

  Your ticket covers the child registered for the session. Additional children attending require additional tickets.

• Can I bring a friend or another adult?

  Absolutely! We understand the need for support. We just asked that you contact us to let us know so we can be aware of numbers.

• Are photos taken during the session?

  We will be taking photos and/or videos during sessions for The Village Play Club's social media and promotional content.

  Photography consent is collected separately during booking, so you can choose whether you would like your child's image to be used or not.

  Please note that no images of children's faces will be used if consent is given.

• What if my child doesn't want to participate?

  That's completely okay! Children are welcome to explore at their own pace. You never have to force participation. You can watch, cuddle, feed, take a break or move on to another activity whenever your child needs.
