BEMAC Supports The Voices of Africa: DiBruin Gospel Project
Event description
For the first time ever in Australia, the Di Bruin Gospel Project is coming to Brisbane for an exclusive show at the Queensland Multicultural Center on Africa Day, 25 May 2025!
Blending contemporary gospel with traditional African choral styles, the Di Bruin Gospel Project delights audiences with their signature clap-and-tap rhythms, reminiscent of South Africa’s Apostolic churches of the 1960s. Founded by the dynamic Mr. Brown Mosiapoa affectionately known as **DiBruin DiBruin**, this award-winning radio personality created the choir during the pandemic to unite communities through the universal language of music, spreading messages of hope and healing in uncertain times.
As part of the Australia and New Zealand South African Film Festival (May 4-31, 2025), this vibrant choir will also be performing in Sydney and Melbourne, bringing their magical sound to audiences across the country.
Join us on this special Africa Day 2025 as the Di Bruin Gospel Project shares the rich stories of South Africa, celebrating the legacy of Nelson Mandela with a powerful and uplifting message.
