Event description

The Water Puzzle is an interactive workshop on water, aiming to make water the centre of our attention. The workshop uses a set of cards and a collaborative online platform. This workshop focuses on the following topics:
- Identify the processes and parts of the natural water cycle
- Build the human-made water cycle
- Understand the changes brought by climate change

This step-by-step creation of the puzzle provides keys to understanding the big picture of water in our society and its complexity. After building the mural, we will engage in a productive discussion on solutions and actions.

(The workshop was developed in France by the association Eau’Dyssee and will be facilitated by Mylene Turban)

Mylene has been living in Australia for 3 years after completing a Master of Engineering (Industrial Processes) in France. She worked across the renewable energy and water treatment industries, before becoming a sustainability consultant at Pangolin Associates in 2021. Always looking for better ways to raise awareness of the ongoing ecological crisis, she found her sweet spot last year when attending a Climate Fresk workshop. Since then, she became a facilitator and helped develop the association in Australia. Convinced that this collaborative educative model is a strong advocacy tool, she found her passion with similar tools: the Circular Economy Collage and the Water Puzzle, which she translated from French to English and now facilitates as a volunteer for the general public and as a professional for businesses.
