‘the way they move through air’ brings together painting, digital art, poetry, and journal entries to explore birds as both subject and symbol. The exhibition reflects on the quiet act of watching - the slow, attentive process of noticing patterns, behaviours, and moments of connection. The beauty found in repetition, ritual, and the small details we often overlook is central to this exploration.

Birds appear throughout the work not just as natural forms, but as representations of emotional resilience, observation, and care. Through watercolour, digital expressionism, and handwritten text, the exhibition creates space for reflection, stillness, and curiosity. It invites audiences to engage gently - with the works, with their surroundings, and with their own memories of place.

‘the way they move through air’ is, at its heart, a love letter - to birds, to paying attention, and to the neurodivergent way of moving through the world.
