The Wellermen in Concert

The Wellermen Waiheke are a folk duo from Waiheke Island, New Zealand.

Band members Alan Knight (Vocals, Guitar and Irish Bouzouki) and Tom French (Vocals, Guitar) combine to perform a range of traditional and contemporary folk music from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA, as well as performing a wide variety of original pieces. 

From songs about whaling and gold mining, to mournful ballads and Irish pub classics, we play a mix of slow and fast, fun and serious and everything in between.

Our spiritual home is Omiha/Rocky Bay Hall, the greatest little hall in New Zealand, with fantastic acoustics and wonderful and supportive locals. We love playing at the hall and are looking forward to providing some entertainment to the local community over the festive period!
