After 30 years and close to 100,000kms of trail running, Mal Law has inspired many, most notably through his various multi-day charity running adventures and as the founder of Wild Things NZ Trail Running Club. But a few years ago he realised there were still two things on his bucket list - he wanted to create NZ’s most epic mountain running event and he wanted to use this as a catalyst to engage runners in native habitat restoration projects - the other big passion in his life. Hence, The WILD was born.
