Meet the Panel.
Michael Kitces is a co-founder of the XY Planning Network, AdvicePay, and New Planner Recruiting, the former Practitioner Editor of the Journal of Financial Planning, the host of the Financial Advisor Success podcast, and the publisher of the popular financial planning continuing education blog Nerd’s Eye View through his website www.Kitces.com, all dedicated to advancing knowledge in financial planning. Carl Richards is a Certified Financial Planner™ and creator of the Sketch Guy column, appearing weekly in The New York Times since 2010.
Carl has also been featured on Marketplace Money, Oprah.com, and Forbes.com. In addition, Carl has become a frequent keynote speaker at financial planning conferences and visual learning events around the world.
Through his simple sketches, Carl makes complex financial concepts easy to understand. His sketches also serve as the foundation for his two books, The One-Page Financial Plan: A Simple Way to Be Smart About Your Money and The Behavior Gap: Simple Ways to Stop Doing Dumb Things with Money (Portfolio/Penguin).
His sketches have appeared in a solo show at the Kimball Art Center in Park City, Utah as well as other showings at Parsons School of Design in New York City, The Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California, and an exhibit at the Mansion House in London.

He spends far more time than he'd like to admit tinkering with tech, but in doing so he truly understands what a streamlined advice process can look like, and knows how it can be achieved in the new world of doing business.

Patrick Flynn is the Founder of Simply Advice Websites and Life Goal Cards and the Director of Simply Kaizen - a management consulting company committed to helping advisers do more with innovative (but simple) technology solutions.
With over 15 years experience in Financial Services, Patrick says his greatest satisfaction comes from seeing advisers take themselves away from the things they don't enjoy to focus on what they do best: help people realise their goals. When Patrick isn't working, he's usually spending time with his wife and two boys. When he gets a quiet moment he can be found watching a movie or playing video games.
Adele Martin is a multi-award winning Certified Financial Planner and the founder of Firefly Wealth and The Savings Squad. She won the 2016 IFA Excellence Award & Best Client Servicing Adviser and has been featured in several media publications.
Adele's business is 100% virtual and her team operate remotely throughout Australia and internationally. On top of running a completely virtual business, Adele is leading the charge in digital marketing as an adviser and uses her innovative approach to attract a continual flow of new ideal clients.
When she's not chatting with her Savings Squad FB Group, Adele is often chasing after her toddler Eddie and enjoying life with her family in Newcastle, Australia.
Daniel Brown is the CEO of Coastal Advice Group and an active consultant for Capital Property, Fortuity Lending and MBS Digital Agency. Daniel has been a qualified Financial Adviser for close to 20 years owning and operating both boutique and large Financial Planning operations in the Newcastle and Central Coast areas.
Daniel is a master of digital client acquisition. He's spent a lot of time, energy and money testing and experimenting with different digital marketing strategies. From his experiences he knows what works, and what doesn't. He recently launched his own MBS Advisory community on the XY Platform to share his knowledge and ideas in the pursuit of helping other advisers nail their digital marketing strategies as well.
Andrew Rocks is the Head of Partnerships and Business Development at Virtual Business Partners, Chairperson at XY Adviser and former CEO & Founder of Announcer Group. Andrew loves business and in particular the people that make things happen. He has a real passion for teamwork and building confidence and energy in others based around shared values.
After starting out in the early 90’s Andrew has seen many challenges, but with the current Pandemic, he believes it will bring the largest step forward in all aspect of our profession. Some say he's funny.
Emily Blanch is Head of Community and Platform Experience at XY Adviser. She uses her altruistic skill set and experience in Financial Services to deliver one of a kind user experiences. Emily looks for new and innovative ways to make people feel valued, connected to a bigger vision and clear in their direction. Her unconventional approach to business landed her on the shortlist for the 2020 Telstra Business Women's Emerging Leader Award.
Emily is also well versed in the art of remote work. She has embraced a location independent lifestyle for the last three years and is more than happy to share her experiences with anyone who wants to listen. When she's not in front of her laptop there's a good chance she's near the beach in the summer or headed for the snow to get her snowboarding fix in winter.

Clayton Daniel is the Co-Founder and Managing Director at XY Adviser, author of Fund Your Ideal Lifestyle and a former tax accountant and financial adviser. Clayton is a regular host on the XY Podcast and spends a lot of his time discussing the current and future state of the Financial Advice landscape with leading authorities in the industry.
