The World's Climate Emergency: Australia's Job Opportunity

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Labor believes that renewable energy is central to our future. A healthy environment and a strong economy go hand-in-hand.

Australia is falling behind when it comes to adapting to climate change. The Coalition’s superficial “plans” that pitch the economy against the environment are outdated and inadequate. The Coalition is missing the bigger picture, and as a result Australians are missing out on opportunities for the future.

Labor believes that renewable energy is key to a strong future. Our policies will ensure that Australia becomes a renewable energy superpower, built on our world class renewable energy resources and technical skills.

Join me and Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon Chris Bowen, to hear more about how our policies will create secure, well-paid jobs for thousands of Australians in the renewable energy sector. We will discuss how Labor’s policies will reduce the impact of climate change while strengthening the future growth of Australian industry and jobs.
