Event description

Theatre, Ritual & Deep-Ecology: Tasmanian Workshop:

How do we re-member our connection to each other and the more-than-human world as we navigate the unravelling of systems? How do we bring back our embodied belonging?

In this workshop, we will weave theatre, deep ecology, somatic wisdom, ritual, and storytelling as medicine, healing the wounds of separation and imagining new possibilities for how we live and relate.

Tasmania Workshop Schedule: We ask people to arrive on Friday afternoon. We will eat together, sharing a meal, we will informally share stories, and find a place to bunk for the night (vans, tents or the bunk house itself).

The workshop formally starts on Saturday all day and Sunday. People can leave on Sunday around 4:30 pm or stay for food overnight and help clean up on Monday, and leave.

Bunks on site, plenty of places to camp.

This is a taster workshop and opportunity at this busy end of the year to take advantage.

When you buy a ticket, you only need to select one day and pay once - that single ticket covers the whole workshop experience.

If you have any questions about ticketing, please call 0428 293 008.

What to expect: An exploratory workshop using embodied process, to honour the invisible and what has always been. Theatre that Reconnects process acknowledges that we are living through profound transitions. Rather than rushing toward solutions, we create sacred space to witness what is dying while tending what wants to emerge.

Bring food to share, and WATER!

This workshop is facilitated by Héctor Aristizábal is a Colombian therapist, theatre-maker, and activist who weaves ritual, art, and healing worldwide. Founder of ImaginAction and co-creator of Re-Conectando, he brings theatre and The Work That Reconnects to communities facing trauma and transition.
