TheOzSkas!
Description
Formed in 2011 by founding Allniters' guitarist Martin Fabok along with vocalist Carol Bernhard and the late Nigel Mulvey on bass, The OzSkas have forged an impressive career with an infectious blend of original songs and 2Tone & Jamaican ska covers. Major highlights include the 2014 release of a self-titled EP and supporting 2Tone luminaries Bad Manners, The Beat and The Selecter, as well as Melbourne ska legends The Strange Tenants’ Sydney shows.
The OzSkas performed three unforgettable gigs in early 2020 as Rhoda Dakar's (The Bodysnatchers) backing band and support on her Australian East Coast SkaBQ tour. While the band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, Carol and Marty have remained at the OzSkas' core. Now with the addition of a 3-piece horn section, exciting times are afoot! See them at the Gasoline Pony on Sunday 29 November, with Special Guest DJ Nick Hudson!
