Event description

This performance night is an introduction to the creative endeavours of four Year 12 students who have been presented with the opportunity to express the unique talents they have honed over the past year, through the medium of an independent research project. These performances are the demonstration of carefully curated research, skill building and performance that is a significant component of an assessment task within which their future artistic endeavours can be launched. All proceeds from their performance will be used to support the musical talents of school children in Nairobi.  

Grace Good, a local who is always motivated to advocate for the environment, health and making the world a better place. Grace is a kind hearted soul who weaves her talent, passion and emotion into her captivating dance. Her performance delivers an intimately choreographed piece of work combined with a skilfully devised improvisation, allowing the audience to witness the influence of music on body.

Sage Oats is a musician naturally gifted in voice and with a knack for playing almost any instruments he picks up. Sage demonstrates his familiarity with both the piano and his guitar, imagining original riffs and melodies that he’s combined to create his first ever album. Under the bright lights of the stage, the audience will find themselves completely captivated by Sage’s musical talent and soulful voice, accompanied live by support band and his own recorded instrumentation.

Aria Jade, channels her big heart and soulful essence through her voice. Utilising the emotionally raw energy of personal experience, Aria brings to the stage an opportunity to feel the colourful layers of life in her song writing and voice techniques. Although this performance is her first recorded EP, Aria’s heart capturing resonance has the potential to both surprise and move an audience. Her vocals will be accompanied by the evocative emotion of an electric guitar and her own carefully curated backing tracks.

Eva-Marie Flynn, a naturally gifted musician and artist, combines her knowledge of musical skill, vocal experience and hours acting on stage to present an original musical theatre performance. Eva’s depth of passion for personal expression is evident as her original storyline follows a journey close to her heart, allowing her to express familiar themes and challenges through the medium of her protagonist’s journey to success. Eva demonstrates an incredible diversity of skill in this performance where the audience has the opportunity to experience a showcase of snippets from her production journey as she delves into the complex world of theatre and musical.
