Therapeutic Doodling Workshops for Family & Sexual Violence Sector Workers
Event description
Take some time out for your own wellbeing during Mental Health Week (4-12 October 2025) with a gentle, creative workshop designed especially for people working in the family and sexual violence sector.
Hosted by Engender Equality, these Therapeutic Doodling Workshops offer a restorative space to pause, connect, and reflect through simple creative practices. Using lines, shapes, and colour and play, we’ll explore the Mental Health Week theme ‘Appreciate the little things’.
These workshops are suitable for everyone – no creative or art experience is needed. The focus is on simple, relaxing doodling as a way to pause and reflect, not on producing artwork.
Facilitated by a therapeutic counsellor with sector-specific experience, the workshops are designed to:
Support your mental health and wellbeing
Provide a low-pressure space for self-care
Encourage connection with peers across the sector
Gain experience in a creative practice that can be carried into your own work
