    Event description

Telluric Creatives explores human-imposed borders - seemingly arbitrary - clearly not for the good of people or culture or Earth - ultimately used to aid the relentless systems of greed. A contemporary ballet for contemporary times

    Borders.

    Division and belonging.

    The inclusion, the exclusion.

    The creation, the destruction.

“These Arbitrary Borders” is an exploration of the various human-imposed borders in local, national and global situations, and their ramifications at the nexus of environment and society, and on the "more-than-human". Using the structure of Greek Tragedy, we follow the journey of “The Suit” – the ups and downs, the regrets and the apparent victories. The protagonist is guided and prodded by “The Flower Crown”, who tries to influence the “The Suit” to consider more than the bottom-line – to consider the Earth and all its beings as worthy to thrive and of just treatment. Poignantly told through ballet, the story is one of catharsis, sadness and hope, enhanced by the immersive quality of audio-visual technology. Both a learning experience and an engaging narrative, "These Arbitrary Borders" is equally for the child, the intellectual, the artist, and the everyday person.
