Thursday 4th July 2024
9am - 1pm, Rātā Drawing Room 222/223

Thesis in Three workshops arranged by Chris Hann on behalf of the Engineering Department.  

 Two workshop dates are available, please only sign up for one workshop. 

Who this workshop is for: Masters or PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering can attend a workshop. There is a limit on speakers to a total of four per department across the two workshops, but no limit on attendees.

When and where:

  • Workshop 1: Monday July 1, 9 am to 1 pm in Rutherford 140 - to book this workshop click here:  https://events.humanitix.com/t... 
  • Workshop 2: Thursday July 4, 9 am to 1 pm in Rata Drawing Office 222/223  

Each workshop includes a light morning tea

Mentors: There will be some previous UC and Engineering thesis in three winners to help you, as well as our professional pitch coach Dorenda Britten – Founder of the Britten Institute, Applied Design Thinker, Business and Social entrepreneur, see https://dorendabritten.com/about/.

What to bring:
Presenter – You will work on your pitch, then present to the pitch coach and other participants towards the end of the workshop.  Bring your laptop and/or paper and pen. 

Observer – You are interested in the competition, but prefer to just listen in and maybe provide feedback on other presenters.

This event is free of charge for UC Masters or Postgraduate Engineering Students.
