Theta State Sound Healing - Midday Session
Description
Welcome! I've made some changes to the structure of this next event so please read ALL the information before booking.
This July, I'm hosting my 14th and 15th sound healings up at Panoramia Villas Yoga Studio in Myrtleford. I'm only hosting two sessions this time, there won’t be an afternoon session.
The location is absolutely beautiful, everyone comments on just how serene this place truly is. The venue is heated which makes it a very comfortable space for this kind of experience during the colder months.

For those who haven't met me yet, my name is Cassie and I've been creating and hosting deeply transformative sound journeys for almost two years now. Each event has a unique theme and this July the theme is Theta State Sound Healing.

You don't have to understand the theme to come along, but if you'd like to know more about the theme, please read on:
* I'd like to help you understand Brainwave states. Each person has 5 main brainwave states which are as follows:
Delta (0.5–4 Hz): The slowest brainwaves, dominant during deep, dreamless sleep. Delta is associated with physical restoration, immune function, tissue repair, and the body's deepest state of recovery.
Theta (4–8 Hz): Theta brainwaves occur during deep relaxation, meditation, light sleep, and moments of creativity and insight. They are associated with emotional processing, memory consolidation, and increased parasympathetic ("rest and digest") activity.
Alpha (8–12 Hz): Alpha brainwaves are present during calm, relaxed wakefulness, such as when you're resting with your eyes closed or practicing mindfulness. They reflect a balanced, alert state that supports relaxation, focus, and stress reduction.
Beta (12–30 Hz): Beta brainwaves dominate during active thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and focused attention. While essential for productivity and concentration, prolonged high beta activity is often associated with stress or anxiety.
Gamma (30–100 Hz): The fastest brainwaves, gamma activity is linked to higher-level cognitive functions such as learning, memory, information processing, and conscious awareness. Gamma is thought to help integrate information across different regions of the brain. Gamma waves are more difficult to sustain intentionally and generally associated with advanced meditation or periods of intense cognitive processing.
(Hz refers to how many electrical cycles (oscillations) occur each second in the brain's neural activity, as measured by an electroencephalogram (EEG))
So... Why are we focusing on the Theta Brainwave state for this session?
Theta brainwaves are naturally associated with deep relaxation, meditation, creativity, and the transition between wakefulness and sleep. During sound healing, repetitive rhythms, sustained tones, and calming vibrations may encourage the brain to shift toward this relaxed state. As the mind settles, the body often shifts toward greater parasympathetic "rest and digest" nervous system activity, which is associated with a slower heart rate, reduced muscle tension, improved digestion, and decreased stress hormone levels. Spending time in a theta-dominant state may support emotional regulation, mental clarity, memory consolidation, and the body's natural capacity for rest, recovery, and healing.
Did you know that crying helps facilitate a transition into a Theta brainwave state. During and immediately after an emotional cry, your nervous system shifts out of a high-stress "fight or flight" mode (Beta waves) and activates the parasympathetic nervous system to trigger restorative Theta and Alpha. The body often knows exactly what to do to heal itself, we just haven't been taught to listen to it! This sound healing is an opportunity to give your body the space to reset itself.
Humans have used rhythmic stimulation to shift mental states for thousands of years. Drumming, chanting, and firelight have been used in ritual and ceremony across every culture, long before anyone understood the neuroscience behind them. What they all share is the use of consistent, repeating patterns to draw the brain into a different mode of operation.
My aim, using sound and space, is to help create an environment where you can access a theta brainwave state and get all the healthy benefits listed above!

The total session time is 65 minutes. This is a very intentional session with less background music and more instruments. I'll also be focusing on each individual, just as much as the group as a whole. We will finish on a guided Chakra meditation, where you will learn more about Chakras and which of your Chakras may be blocked. This may give you insight into something in your personal life.
Many people come along to my events to take a mini break from their busy lives and relax, which you'll find very grounding. And most people come alone, so your bravery in doing something new and different is welcomed and encouraged.

It means the world to me to be able to pursue my creativity and passion, and at the same time be of service to people in such an integral way. I've hosted sound baths where people have expressed their symptoms of physical pain have vanished. That feels like a blessing. I hope my sessions help you in some way - that is the legacy I hope to leave behind.
I'm truly grateful for your support and can't wait to see you there.
Much love, Cassie.
