Think Brick Australia offers two course format options for registration, all of which are face-to-face. Please see the options below.

INDUSTRY RECOGNISED BRICK CLEANING ACCREDITATION - 2 DAY COURSE (19th and 20th October 2026)

Think Brick Australia's industry-recognised Brick Cleaning Accreditation Long Stream Course runs for 2 days and is a face-to-face course. This course is held at PGH Bricks & Pavers selection centre, Albion Park and consists of both theory and practical components.

Completing this course provides you with the skills and knowledge to clean, maintain, and care for brick and block (masonry) work, including identifying the most appropriate equipment and chemicals to use, recognising different types of stains, and hands-on experience with our course trainer.
Please note the following items are required to complete this course:

  • Ensure you have your White Card (WHS)

  • Ensure you have the following safety equipment:
    - Steel-capped shoes
    - Long pants
    - Safety goggles
    - Hard hat
    - High-vis vest

INDUSTRY RECOGNISED BRICK CLEANING SHORT COURSE - HALF-DAY (19th October 2026 Only)

Think Brick Australia also offers a Short Stream, half-day theory-only course, which is a great option for anyone looking to learn more about brick and block maintenance, who will not be completing any brick and block cleaning, such as builders, sales representatives, and industry bodies. This course does not provide full accreditation; you will receive a certificate of attendance.

  • Who Is Think Brick Australia?

    Think Brick Australia and the Concrete Masonry Association of Australia are peak industry bodies and a credible voice of the industry, representing manufacturers of clay bricks, pavers, and concrete masonry. We have developed these industry-recognised courses to aid, educate and support the upskilling of individuals and organisations within the care and maintenance of brick and block masonry, and provide a standard of practice for brick cleaners to be adhered to.

  • What does the Brick and Block Cleaning Accreditation Course cover?

    The course covers the basics of bricks and blocks, working with contemporary bricks and blocks, planning and preparing a worksite, identifying brick and block stains, effective cleaning of brick and block stains, prevention of brick and block stains, techniques not to damage brickwork and blockwork, use of environmentally friendly cleaning solutions, and proper clean up and safe storage of equipment and chemicals.

  • How much does the course fee cost?

    The total cost for the following Brick and Block Cleaning Courses are:

    • Accredited Course - Early Bird Offer - $750 pp + booking fee (this is a limited-time release)

    • Accredited Course - $900 pp + booking fee ( 2 day course w/ theory & partical)

    • Short Course - $350 pp + booking fee ( 1 day course, theory only)

    • Refresher Course - Fee Free - Once you have obtained your accreditation, all future refresher training is free. Simply contact us to register for your preferred course date and location.

    By completing this course, attendees (who complete all requirements) will be recognised by the industry and our manufacturers as an accredited brick cleaner. Our manufacturers refer their enquiring bodies, builders, and contractors to our accredited brick cleaner listings, as they are aware of the benefit and standards that are achieved by utilising educated organisations and individuals.

     

    Our course trainer Mike, is a wealth of information and has been a brick cleaner in the industry for over 30 years. We are constantly improving and adding further industry innovations and education to this course, and pride ourselves on ensuring consistent further education to our accredited brick cleaners.

     

    As we are not-for-profit organisations, all course fees paid go directly into funding the course our participants have registered to attend, enabling us to ensure we are providing appropriate equipment and resources for our students to get the most out of this course experience.
