Learn how to navigate your organisation through uncertainty in turbulent times and be prepared for whatever the future holds.

This two-day foundational course will teach you about Strategic Foresight – a discipline that helps us create alternative views of possible futures. It is used by many of the world’s most successful organisations, as well as Governments who use it to inform their policy development.

The future can be shaped by the actions we take today. This course will help you start creating the future you desire for yourself and your organisation, while still managing today’s businesses demands.

What will you gain?

By the completion of the course, you will be enabled to:

  • Begin thinking like a futurist;
  • Understand what futures thinking and strategic foresight is - and isn’t;
  • Learn how strategic foresight and futures thinking can help refine and inform any organisation’s strategies today;
  • Challenge your organisation’s conventional view of the future, and help identify tomorrow’s problems, today;
  • Begin to pick out weak signals from the noise and identify key drivers of change;
  • Find ways to reduce uncertainty and anticipate possible and probable futures; and
  • Use analysis to look for opportunities and to develop action plans to shape the future you want.

Course structure

The course uses group discussion, case studies and exercises to teach you about Strategic Foresight, and provides you with tools and techniques to take away and apply immediately.
