Thinkways Test Lab - April School Holiday Workshop (Ages 7-11)
Event description
What’s the secret behind how submarines control their depth? Can you pull a tablecloth from under objects without toppling them? What’s the secret to poking holes in a balloon without popping it? Just like the team from the famous TV series, MythBusters, test the myths you’ve always wondered about. Join us for Thinkways Test Lab, a hands-on workshop where high-potential students aged 7-11 are invited to dive into the world of scientific experiments to explore common myths.
Students will follow the scientific method of posing questions, forming hypotheses, testing their ideas, and drawing conclusions. Along the way, they'll engage with critical thinking, problem-solving, and principles of physics, all while discovering how science plays a crucial role in debunking myths. It's an interactive experience designed to spark curiosity, challenge assumptions, and ignite a passion for learning. Whether you're a budding scientist or just love a good challenge, Thinkways Test Lab is the perfect way to explore the science behind the myths.
Guided by experts
Facilitated by a seasoned teacher with over a decade of experience in delivering programs for gifted and talented students, this workshop is more than just an experiment, it's a learning journey. Students aren’t just participants; they’re architects of their own success, sharpening their critical and creative thinking skills that will serve them well beyond the workshop. In this space, failure is not something to avoid, but a crucial part of learning and growth. Don’t miss this opportunity to unleash your child's passion for science and ignite their imagination while working with like-minded peers.
