Event description

Playwrights, Actors and Lovers of the Theater, we want YOU to bring your fresh work and readiness to play-on-the spot to a dynamic night of Cold Reading, right here in Flatbush; this is an opportunity to get to know your neighbors and share new work!

Writers! Please register to hold your seat and email 10 pages, a brief explanation of what brings the audience to this part of the work if it's an excerpt, and a CHARACTER LIST to fdctheater@gmail.com with the subject line: FCT COLD READING SERIES: WRITING SUBMISSION. -- you will need to bring your own hardcopies for the number of actors that will read your work on the evening of the event.

Provided that the script is formatted readably for actors, we'll accept scripts on a first come first serve basis for the first 5 writers who submit.

ACTORS! Please register to hold your seat and send a resume or bio and a photograph to fdctheater@gmail.com with the subject line: FCT COLD READING SERIES: ACTOR SUBMISSION. -- you will need to bring yourself, ready to read cold on the evening of the event.

Provided you register and send ahead your bio/resume and photo, you may be cast by one of the writers at a "lightning" casting at 7:00pm on the night of the event.

WRITERS! Please register to hold your seat and sent your ~10 minutes of dramatic writing, including CHARACTER LIST, and any content warnings- you may also send a bio if you wish!

Audience $20 (This is a suggested donation and if you'd like to request to join us with fees waived, please email fdctheater@gmail.com. - admission fees can be waived - no questions asked- and we'll let you know if we are sold out or we need to put you on the waitlist)


Light refreshments will be provided at donation prices for The Brooklyn Artery.
