Event description
We are excited to invite you to Tree Crops Waikato Thames Coromandel Branch annual grafting working. You will learn about grafting and be supported with the practical session, walking away with two of your own grafted apple, pear or stone fruit. You will be supported by experienced-in-grafting tutor David Whyte and a team of passionate experienced-in-grafting volunteers.

What to bring:
Grafting knife or Stanley craft knife with a new blade
Secateurs
Pens and labels to name your trees
Grafting tape or insulation tape
Plastic bags and newspaper to keep tree root moist on the way home
Garden gloves
Any scion wood you wish to use and/or share
Cash to purchase extra rootstock and scion wood

Respect the Chartwell Scout Hall property and other visitors' peaceful attendance.
Beware of health & safety hazards - please note that we discourage young children attending due to the nature of the event and all the sharp blades on site.
Do not bring pets.
Bring sturdy footwear and suitable clothing.
