Indie rockers This Way North are making their way down to the coast for a very special one-off performance at the Peninsula SongRiders Club. Once based completely on the road Cat and Leisha are now high-country gals living in the tiny mountain town of Yackandandah. Their soaring harmonies are mixed with eclectic driving, alt-psych anthems; tender, tremolo-tinged ballads and full of rapturous nostalgia. Their music thrums with connection - between people, place, and heart.  The duo has had a successful couple of years with full-time touring across Australia, New Zealand and Canada, supporting a huge number of well-known artists. They’ve enjoyed killer sets at Australia’s favourite local festivals, including Queenscliff, Mullumbimby, Woodford, Port Fairy, Blues on Broadbeach and Wanderer, and are now also making a name for themselves in the Canadian festival circuit.

This Way North will be joined by local darling and unbelievable talent Maxon in an afternoon that will be sure to warm your winter Sunday cockles! 

Maxon is the kind of artist who can bring you to tears and stitch you back together in the same breath. With an award-winning pen and a voice that aches with truth, she crafts soul-baring songs that leave you feeling seen, cracked open, and ready to step back into the light. Blending Americana with a modern pop spin on soulful ’70s folk-rock, her long-awaited debut album Talking With Strangers (2026) marks a bold new chapter.  At the core of her work is a deep commitment to unconditional love, offering music that feels both deeply personal and quietly universal.
