Thorne Harbour Country | Monthly inclusive social cuppa | 7 Nov 2024
Event description
Join us for a community social cuppa on Thu 7th November. Meet new people, browse the clothing racks at the 'Open Closet', pick a book from the Queer Borrowed Books library or just pop in to say hi!
In preparation for World Aids Day (Dec 1), we would love you to join us in making red ribbons at the November cuppa, to hand out at our WAD event (Friday 29 Nov). We will have all the materials needed to make the ribbons. The red ribbon has been a symbol of awareness and support for people living with HIV for more than 30 years. Wearing red ribbons shows support for people living with HIV and honours the lives lost over the past 40 years. You can wear your ribbon on or in the lead up to World AIDS Day. Of course, you can wear it anytime you want to raise awareness of HIV and show support for people living with it.
All welcome at this relaxed and friendly, free social catchup for all ages.
Come and join the discussion and make some ribbons:
