Those Before Community Workshops
Event description
There are 2 days to this workshop: Saturday 13th September 2025 and Saturday 20th September 2025. You need to be able to come to both.
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Join us for a transformative two-day mask-making workshop exploring ancestry and identity. This workshop is part of the “Those Before” project, a unique artistic exploration to be featured in the 2025 Taranta Festival.
We particularly welcome and strongly encourage participation from people of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, First Nations people, gender diverse people, and people living with disabilities. The workshop provides a fully accessible venue with additional support available for participants with diverse access needs, creating an inclusive and supportive creative environment.
Participants will engage in guided mask-making techniques and therapeutic art practice.
No prior art experience is necessary. This is an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful community art project that will be exhibited during the Taranta Festival.
Important Note: Participants must commit to attending both workshop days in full. Spaces are limited, and we will work in pairs.
