Short interactive workshops aimed to educate and empower young women aged 13 to 25 about healthy relationships, recognising red flags of domestic violence and coercive control, and providing resources for seeking help.

Bridges purpose is to foster a community where individuals are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and support to cultivate and sustain healthy relationships while actively preventing domestic violence. Through education, awareness, and empowerment, we strive to create a culture of respect, empathy, and equality, ensuring that every person can thrive in relationships free from violence and coercion. Our commitment is rooted in building a safer and more compassionate society, where everyone has the tools to contribute to the prevention of domestic violence and the promotion of enduring, healthy connections.

    What to expect?

Session 1: Building Healthy Foundations - 30 minutes

    • This session focuses on establishing the basics of healthy relationships, emphasising mutual respect, effective communication, and setting boundaries.
    • Participants will learn through interactive discussions, real-life scenarios, and group activities.
    • It will be delivered through a combination of in-person workshops and virtual sessions via a user-friendly online platform.

    10-minute Break

Session 2: Breaking the Cycle - 30 minutes

    • The second session delves deeper into the dynamics of domestic violence and coercive control.
    • Participants will gain insights into recognising signs of abusive relationships, understanding the cycle of abuse, and learning how to support themselves or friends in need.
    • Similar to the first session, this will be a hybrid offering with both in-person and virtual components.

These sessions are a safe and welcoming environment for participants to engage in discussions and activities, share their thoughts and ask questions.
