Ensemble Mania presents Thylacine Triptych: Three Days / Three Concerts

A trio of immersive concerts commemorating the 90th anniversary of the extinction of the Kaparunina/Thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger. Over three consecutive nights, players from across Nipaluna/Hobart and Naarm/Melbourne will perform works predominantly by Tasmanian composers alongside pieces themed around the Thylacine, extinction, colonisation, and ecoside.

DAY 2: 12.12.26 (9pm)

Music by Damian MacDonald, Giacinto Scelsi, Nathan Meurant, Simon Barber, Simon Reade, Michael Finnissy, Hellgart Mahler, and Ron Nagorcka.

DAY 3: 13.12.26 (9pm)

Music by Sophie Marcheff, Liza Lim, David William Murray, Aditya Ryan Bhat, Jaslyn Robertson, and Dominic Flynn.

This concert takes place on the unceded lands of the Muwinina people. We pay respects to Aboriginal Elders – past, present, and emerging.
