TIA Vegetable Research Facility Field Day 2026
Description
Register today to save your spot
Join us at this year’s TIA Vegetable Research Facility Field Day at Forthside to explore the latest research, technology and emerging opportunities relevant to Tasmanian growers.
The program includes a panel discussion with Tasmanian growers about the role of research and why it matters more now than ever before, stories from local growers using AI to explore farm business data, and a biosecurity update.
Research updates will cover key industry challenges and developments including potato disease management, the challenges of vegetable seed production, beans and soil health, alternative protein crops, and winter dieback syndrome in pyrethrum.
After lunch, a guided farm walk will bring the research to life. This is a chance to get out into the paddock and see the research trials currently underway on the farm.
Connect with researchers and industry peers, explore what’s coming next and discover ideas that could benefit your growing operation.
A complimentary coffee van will be available thanks to sponsorship by the TAS Farm Innovation Hub.
Date: Wednesday 25 November
Time: 10:00am - 2:30pm
Location: 124 Forthside Road, Forthside
