Tiddas in Business - Business Ready Workshop 1 & 2
Event description
Tiddas in Business: Business Ready Workshops I and II
Dates: 8 & 15 December 2021
Time: 10am - 3pm
Delivered: Online via Zoom
Murawin and Tiddas in Business, with support from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinets Office for Women,
are offering an Indigenous women in business program, to support the development of businesses owned and run by
Indigenous women, as well as business growth leading to increased employment and business opportunities for other
Indigenous people. The program encourages Indigenous women wherever they may be in urban, regional, rural, and
remote locations to aspire to economic empowerment.
Tiddas in Business provides a range of intensive, culturally appropriate supports from introducing the idea of
entrepreneurship and encouragement for Indigenous women to think about starting their own business, through to
business-ready workshops, mentoring and leadership development.
Business Ready Workshops I and II
You will engage in a dynamic workshop with interactive learning sessions that cover:
• Business models
• Financial and administrative systems for small businesses
• Promotional collateral
• Income streams
• Product identification and development
• Marketing and sales
The goal of the Business Ready Workshop is to provide each participant with a good understanding of the complexities of starting and growing a business, but also to provide a simple assessment about viability. The one-day workshop will provide a consistent launchpad for the group and individual mentoring as well as the masterclasses.
