Ticket to Work webinar: Outcomes & lessons from the After School Jobs Project
Event description
Ticket to Work webinar: Outcomes & lessons from the After School Jobs Project
The After School Jobs project supported students with disability to experience work after school. Gaining a first ‘paid’ job is often a big moment for young people as they approach transition to adulthood. Most of us can remember having our first job, and very often this was during school years. Today over 60% of secondary students have an after school job. Yet many students with disability miss out on this opportunity. International longitudinal studies have shown having a paid job while at school is the number one indicator of having employment post school for young people with disability.
Please join us for a panel discussion where the panel will share with you their experience and what we found.
A webinar for anyone interested in improving school to work transition for young people with disability.
