Event description
'Think of the emotional downpour from Olivia Rodrigo, consoled by the angelic Norah Jones' – Sheldon Ang Media
About Tig:Â
Tig is Ninch-based solo artist with a remarkable ability to stir up emotions right from the core. A mentee of Ainslie Wills, she transforms deeply personal stories into relatable alt-pop musings, reminiscent of her influences.Â
Tig’s debut EP Inside Voices, released February 2024, was an entrance you’d expect from a seasoned frontperson unveiling their long-anticipated solo venture, rather than the reformed 9-to-5 corporate professional she is. Tig’s movie-montage-style show has graced some big stages, supporting the Pierce Brothers and Kim Churchill on tours across Australia, and featuring at Tones and I’s Music in the Park festival.
After a year spent crafting her latest collection, Tig and her band return to the stage to debut her upcoming album for the very first time.Â
This album and show was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Mornington Peninsula Shire and the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
About the Venue:Â
The beloved Rye Yacht Club will be opening their doors for this intimate sunset occasion. With views spanning right across the glittery bay, there will be no shortage of magic in the air. Daydreaming by the ocean is a key ingredient in Tig's creative process, so it's only fitting for this album to be debuted bayside!
Please show your respect to the venue and RYC members by taking great care of the space during the show.Â
