Tijuana Cartel fuse deep electronic grooves with flamenco guitar, Middle-Eastern motifs and punchy trumpet lines to create a sound that’s unmistakably their own. The project began on Australia’s Gold Coast with guitarist Paul George and producer/keyboardist Carey O’Sullivan; it has since evolved into a powerhouse live outfit featuring percussionist Sheila Finke and a rotating roster of trumpet virtuosos such as Tristan Rogers.

Their shows are equal parts club workout and global street party; layered soundscapes, heavy bass and kinetic percussion that turn curiosity into catharsis. From Splendour in the Grass, WOMAD and Woodford to Earth Frequency, Chi Wow Wah Town and beyond, the band have carved out their own corner of the Australian festival circuit, while tours through Europe and the USA have won them an ever-growing international following.
