Event description

About 71% of the Earth's surface is water and the fight for the survival of our water-ways health is well and truly upon us.

Renowned environmentalist, advocate and purpose-driven entrepreneur, Tim Silverwood speaks with Talking Sticks founder Mel Greblo about just how important our waterways are and our capacity to“be the ones we’ve been waiting for”.

Few people know more about our oceans and our impacts upon them than our own Tim Silverwood who co-founded the not-for-profit ‘Take 3’ in 2009 in response to his alarm at the ever increasing plastic pollution in our oceans. In 2011, Tim sailed 5000km across the North Pacific Ocean to study the infamous Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which he shared about in the highly viewed talk at TEDx Newy.

Explore the depths of his knowledge and compassion when he shares his story with Mel at this online conversation and be reminded of your own innate ability to make a difference.

Join the conversation live or watch the recording later should you not be able to join us on the day.
