Orana Arts’ Not a Dress Rehearsal (NaDR) program for regional youth and ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People) are partnering again this summer to offer young people of the region with an interest in the performing arts, a 5-day school holiday camp at Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre in January 2023. There’ll be tutors from ATYP, along with a camp coordinator, camp leader and assistant tutors who have had a long association with the Not a Dress Rehearsal and ATYP programs, fully supervising activities at the camp. To be considered, please register your interest by selecting "Register".
In their own words, either using video (1-2 mins) or written submission (250-500 words), young people aged 13-17 will be required to tell us about:
- their interest in the performing arts;
- why they wish to be considered for the camp, and;
- how it might help further a career in the performing arts or life more generally.

COB (Close of business): 2nd of December
A panel will review the applications and successful applicants will be notified by the 9th of December.
Key dates are:
2 December: Applications close
9 December: Applicants notified
16 December: Registrations/camp info due to confirm place close
9 January: Camp begins
We’re talking with communities and individuals in the areas of Dubbo, Wellington, Mudgee, Bathurst, Narromine, Trangie, Gilgandra and Warren, but if there’s interest from other communities or individuals, please contact us for more information. We’d love to hear from you if you know of a young person in high school who would love to be involved in the performing arts, because we want to hear from them.
Places will be strictly limited for this free camp, fully subsidised by the NSW Government through Create NSW and Office for Regional Youth Holiday Break Program.
