Timothy Fairless returns to GLÓR to launch his new album Keep Talking to Me. On this new edition, released on L.A.-based Dragon’s Eye Recordings, Timothy explores the fragile interplay between language, technology and understanding. Derived from a generative sound installation, Keep Talking to Me is a conceptual mirroring of the ceaseless churn of modern information systems. The album prompts us to consider the way we absorb and reconstruct the world around us.
At this exclusive event, you’re invited to engage directly with the generative installation Timothy created for the album. A safe and curious space will be made for the audience to experiment with their own inputs, and allow the interactive sound installation to fragment, smear and rearrange them to make an entirely new sonic environment.
Timothy Fairless is a music-maker and video artist based in Meanjin/Brisbane. He produces atmospheric ambient and experimental sounds using processed field recordings alongside acoustic instruments and synthesizers. His sound and video explore diverse themes, from his queer identity, to climate change, and reflections on our relationships with technology and each other.
